dicasFlash is an optional software plug-in enabling the dicas2010 SD encoder to communicate with the latest version of Adobe’s Flash Media Server 3.

The dicasFlash plug-in opens an additional content distribution channel for the IPTV, Internet TV and Mobile TV industries since MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 content can be professionally delivered over RTMP to the Adobe Flash Player, which is installed on over 850 million internet-connected desktops and mobile devices worldwide. 
 
 
 

The dicas 2010 is a professional broadcast-quality advanced video/audio encoding and streaming 1-RU solution. This sophisticated, high performance encoder convinces with an outstanding picture quality at lower bit-rates and highest reliability for 24/7 usage.

Optimised for both interlaced and progressive display systems the dicas2010 delivers one SD channel of variable bit rate (VBR) or constant bit rate (CBR) MPEG-4 (Simple Profile, Advanced Simple Profile) or MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 (Baseline, Main and High Profile) video at various resolutions from QCIF (176×144) to SD.

The dicas 2010 is designed for broadcasters, operators and enterprises delivering IPTV and Streaming services as well as for broadcast distribution and contribution. The dicas2010 is interoperable with most current satellite encapsulators and modulators. Its integrated streaming server allows you to attend to a limited number of clients (e.g. hospital TV) without the use of a Customer Dedicated Network (CDN).

The installation of the dicas 2010 is easy and can be configured remotely through a user-friendly web interface. The dicas 2010 delivers one SD channel MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 video (progressive and interlaced coding) and MPEG-4 AAC audio. It also provides MPEG-4 Advanced Simple Profile (ASP).
